Delayed Parcels ‼️

Please understand that we get parcels shipped as quickly as possible (usually the same day, if not next day) and after the order has been shipped it is completely out of our hands.

If your parcel has been delayed, we are unable to send out a replacement or offer a refund until we have contacted the courier and they have declared the parcel as missing, please be advised this could take a few weeks if not months depending on the courier and destination. Once the parcel has been declared missing, we are then able to offer a refund or replacement as a solution.

We understand how frustrating this can be as we want you to receive your items as soon as possible. Please be assured we are doing everything we can on our end to ensure you get your order on time.

Processing times

  • Here at Messi Pups we aim to get your orders shipped out as soon as possible, however we are a small family run business so please allow up to 3 days for dispatch. You will receive an email when your order has been dispatched.
  • If you need your order for a specific date please contact us before ordering and we’ll try our best to accommodate your request.
  • Please allow extra time for customised items (eg pet tags,) and resin items as these are made to order.
  • Once an order has been processed and shipped, we are unable to modify the shipping address. It is crucial to double-check and ensure the accuracy of your shipping details before finalising your purchase. In the event that an incorrect address was provided, we regret to inform you that we cannot be held responsible for any inconvenience or delays in delivery. To avoid any issues, we encourage you to carefully review your order confirmation email, which includes the shipping information you provided during the checkout process.
  • If you notice any errors, please contact our customer support team immediately. While we cannot guarantee that changes can be made, we will do our best to assist you within the constraints of the shipping process.

UK Shipping Information

We offer a range of delivery options; Royal Mail, Evri, Yodel, DPD, but unfortunately (as you may be well aware) none of them have a five star record. So we want to give you the option to choose which courier you are most comfortable with. Please try to remember that any delays are completely out of our hands, and it is just as frustrating for us when things don’t arrive to our customers in a timely manner!

UK Shipping

We offer free tracked shipping via Yodel or Evri for all orders over £35.

We have also added some additional options for shipping including:

DPD Delivery:

Please check below if you are eligible for these services.

  • DPD service point pickup. Working all day or know you wont be home for your delivery? Send your order to one of the participating parcelshops and collect it when you can.
  • DPD next day delivery – cut off time 4pm. DPD will aim to deliver your parcel the day after it has been dispatched from us.
  • DPD two day delivery, DPD will aim to deliver your parcel within two working days.

Royal Mail:

  • Royal Mail Tracked 24. Royal Mail will aim to deliver your parcel the day after it has been dispatched from us.
  • Royal Mail Tracked 48. Royal Mail will aim to deliver your parcel within two working days.

Please note Royal Mail Tracked 24/48 are not guaranteed to be delivered in this timeframe, this is just their AIM. We cannot offer any compensation for slight delays with these services.

Please note our post depot only opens 8am-10am Monday – Saturday so any orders placed after this time will not be posted until the next day.

Evri

This service is free for all orders over £35. 

  • Evri will aim to deliver your parcels 2-4 days after they have been dispatched from us.

Yodel

This service is free for all orders over £35. 

  • Yodel will aim to deliver your parcels 2-4 days after they have been dispatched from us.
 

International Shipping Information

WE SHIP WORLDWIDE!

  • We ship using a tracked service via Royal Mail for international orders. The cost and delivery estimate will depend on where in the world you are.
  • Customers are responsible for any customs and/or import taxes due on their order. We are not responsible for any delays due to customs. Please make sure to research your country’s customs regulations before placing your order so that you can budget accordingly and be prepared in case your order incurs any customs tax.
  • Please ensure you stay updated on your tracking information in case your order encounters any customs hold-ups that require payment. It’s the customer’s responsibility to monitor the tracking and be aware of any customs fees. We can’t guarantee if customs will notify you regarding payment, so please keep an eye on the tracking details.

Returns

  • If you wish to return your order for a refund please email us at info@messipups.co.uk.
  • Customers are responsible for return postage costs, if the wrong size has been ordered or they have had a change of heart. Customers are responsible for paying postage on any replacements they wish to order.
  • Refunds will be processed once we have received the goods back in their original condition, unworn and free from any odours. All refunds will be made to the same payment method used when placing your order.
  • We have provided care instructions for our products (these can be found on our FAQ page and on the individual product pages.) If you choose not to follow these instructions (i.e putting the item in the washing machine), Messi Pups are not liable for any damages and cannot offer any exchanges or refunds on these items.

Please do not just send items back to us without emailing us first – we are unable to offer any refunds unless you contact us directly at info@messipups.co.uk first!

Cancellations

Can I cancel my order?

  • If you wish to cancel your order please email us as quickly as possible and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
  • In the event the order has already been shipped you will have to return it to us before we can issue a refund.
  • Please note that if production has already started on customised items (e.g pet tags) we cannot cancel or refund these items in your order.

Exchanges

Ordered the wrong size?

  • We’ve updated our policy and are no longer offering exchanges. However, if you wish to swap an item, please reach out to us. We will process a refund for the item’s cost (excluding postage) and then you can place a new order for the desired item – this also speeds up the process for you, as we are able to post items out right away, instead of having to wait until we receive the old items back!
  • If you have ordered a bundle and wish to exchange, please return only the items that you wish to change and place a new order for the items desired. We will refund you the correct amount so that you aren’t paying any extra for the items (only for postage).
  • Customers are responsible for return postage costs, if the wrong size has been ordered or they have had a change of heart. We recommend using a tracked service to return any orders as we are unable to process a refund for any items that go missing.
  • Contact us ASAP at info@messipups.co.uk if you would like to return your order, within 14 days, and we will sort this out for you!

Refunds

You will be refunded the total cost for the items returned, minus the postage cost. If your order was over £35 and included free postage, £2.99 will be deducted from the refund amount.

As a small business we cannot afford to cover the cost of postage for unwanted items.

We recommend using a tracked service to return any orders as we are unable to process a refund for any items that go missing.

Refunds will be processed once we have received the goods back in their original condition, unworn and free from any odours. All refunds will be made to the same payment method used when placing your order.


Can I Refund my bundle?

We are unable to refund parts of a bundle as they are discounted, so the full bundle would have to be returned in order to get the full refund.

Please note if you chose a personalised tag as one of the freebies, we would also have to charge full price for this as they are customised and cannot be refunded (this cost would just be deducted from your refund amount).

Discounted and Promotional Items

If you purchase items that exceed the threshold for a sale or discount, and as a result, qualify for a reduced price, please note that we will only refund the amount that exceeds the original item price before the discount. This means, if you return an item that was part of a discount deal, the refund will be calculated based on the discounted price you paid.

For example:

Hypothetical sale – 20% off orders over £50
  1. Full price (excluding discounts): 3 items at £20 each = £60
  2. 20% Discount: £60 × 20% = £12 discount
  3. Total after 20% Discount: £60 – £12 = £48

If you request a refund for one item (£20), you will be required to pay the full price for the remaining 2 items. This is because the refund request voids the promotion’s terms and conditions (total must be => £50).

Therefore:

  1. New Total Cost: 2 items at £20 each (full price, excluding discounts) = £40
  2. Amount to be Refunded: £48 (discounted total) – £40 (new total) = £8

This policy also applies to promotions that offer free items, provided the terms and conditions of the deal are fulfilled.

For example:

Hypothetical sale – Buy any original harness and get a free personalised luxury pet tag.
  1. Full price (excluding discounts): £22 (original harness) + £10 (personalised luxury pet tag) = £32
  2. Total after applied promotion: £32 – £10 (FREE personalised luxury pet tag) = £22

So, if you were to request a refund for the harness (£22) you would now have to pay the full amount for the tag as this voids the terms and conditions of the promotion.

Therefore:

Amount to be refunded: £22 (discounted total) – £10 (original tag price) = £12


Received the wrong items?

  • Messi Pups will pay return postage costs, only if there has been an error and the wrong item has been sent or the item is faulty. Messi Pups will cover the cost of posting out replacements.
  • Refunds/exchanges will be processed once we have received the goods back in their original condition.

Can I return my customised items?

We can not accept returns of any customised items including pet tags or resin items, as these are personalised and made to order.


Damages

  • If an item arrives faulty or damaged, please let us know ASAP and we will get this sorted for you.
  • We have provided care instructions for our products (these can be found on our FAQ page and on the individual product pages.) If you choose not to follow these instructions (i.e putting the item in the washing machine), Messi Pups are not liable for any damages and cannot offer any exchanges or refunds on these items.
  • **Please note, we will no longer be sending out replacements on our poop bag holders if the clip breaks. To save on waste, we can offer a heavy duty split ring/lobster clasp which can be attached to the loop on the holder instead.
